I'm unemployed!!!!!!

That's right, as of yesterday afternoon, I am officially jobless.  I know unemployment is an unusual thing to be excited about, but in my case it's like a temporary retirement, and I am so glad to be done with work for awhile.  Granted, once I get started with law school I'm sure it won't all seem so exciting, but I am greatly looking for to my 2 months off starting today.

This past Thursday was the last Thursday of the month which meant another LSSK meet-up at Borders.  I have missed the last few months, so it was great to finally make it.  Vicki took all of the pictures below.

On the left is a picture of me modeling my Justine skirt - this was the first time I wore it.  On the right is Laura modeling a tank top she made.  Pattern is Bonne Marie's Ribby Shell.

I was going to do some work on the Dragon Hoodie, but when I pulled the yarn out of my bag, it was one big tangled mess.  Vicki and Linda Q. spent quite a bit of time helping me untangle it, and in the end we were successful.

While at the meet-up, I got to see Vicki's completed lace scarf.  We had compared them last time we got together and were using the same yarn and same needles and overall our gauge seemed very similar.  So seeing hers blocked out gave me a good idea of what sort of length I would get.  I decided to finish the repeat I was on and start the edging.  Although I still have plenty of yarn left to make it longer, I think I like the shorter length - and, I'm ready to be done with it.  I'm sure I'll come up with a use for the remaining yarn sometime.  Hopefully I'll have finished pics for you soon.

This past winter, I knitted some TX squares, for blankets to be put together for the girls on the list who are pregnant (and one daughter of a list member).  Here's Enid's finished blanket which Alice made for her - isn't it wonderful?!?!  One of the purple squares is mine.
